- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced tomatoes (including the juice) to the skillet with the cooked sausage. Stir to combine and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the sausage-tomato mixture to a 4-6 quart crockpot. Add the cheese tortellini and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Season with dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours, until the tortellini is heated through and the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

For best results, be sure to brown the sausage thoroughly to develop its full flavor before adding it to the crockpot.
