  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks, until it's no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, heavy cream, mayonnaise, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
