Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 large lettuce leaves such as romaine or iceberg

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • Medium bowl
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté the sliced beef, bell pepper, and onion over medium-high heat until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the cooked beef and vegetable mixture with the softened cream cheese, shredded provolone, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Lay the lettuce leaves flat on a clean surface. Spoon the beef and cheese mixture onto the center of each leaf, then roll up the lettuce around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go.
  5. Place the roll-ups seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the lettuce is slightly crisp.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy your Keto Philly Cheesesteak Roll Ups!

Notes

For best results, use large, sturdy lettuce leaves like romaine or iceberg. The cream cheese helps to bind the filling together, while the provolone adds the classic Philly cheesesteak flavor. These roll-ups can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
