Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Grease the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten eggs, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Layer half of the uncooked ziti noodles over the sauce.
  5. Spread the ricotta cheese mixture over the pasta layer.
  6. Top with the remaining ziti noodles and the rest of the marinara sauce.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the pasta is tender.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top and let it melt for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a high-quality marinara sauce. You can also experiment with different cheese blends to find your perfect flavor profile. This dish can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
