Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • Baking dish
  • whisk
  • cutting board
  • Chef's knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear them on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Whisk the mixture continuously until it begins to simmer and thicken, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it's fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Arrange the seared chicken breasts in a baking dish and top them with the broccoli florets.
  7. Pour the creamy Alfredo sauce over the chicken and broccoli, making sure to evenly coat everything.
  8. Bake the Creamy Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
  9. Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, sear the chicken first to lock in the juices, and sauté the garlic before adding the cream to infuse the sauce with more flavor. Allow the dish to rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the sauce to set.
